The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in special session at the County Courthouse Wednesday morning. They discussed the possibility of selling the 80 acres of pasture land they own at the Marion County Care Facility. Supervisor Sam Nichols says that they currently rent the land out, but maintenance and upkeep costs may outweigh the revenue they receive from renting out the ground. Nichols says that they will talk with the current leaser and get direction from the county attorney’s office on possible options for selling the land before making any final decisions.
