Outflows at Lake Red Rock have been reduced several times lately to mitigate the potential for flooding down stream and now outflows are being increased as the resevior fills up in order to maintain flood storage capacity. Residents in flood prone areas downstream along the Des Moines River are encouraged for higher river levels. Currently, the lake is at 775 feet and outflows volume is 35,000 cubic feet per second. The record high stage at Red Rock is 782.67 feet, set in July of 1993.
