Proving that there are no easy games in the Little Hawkeye Conference, the Pella softball team had to eek out a narrow 3-2 win Thursday night against Grinnell.
Lindsay Mueller and Rachel Greving each went 2-for-3 at the plate for the Lady Dutch, with Greving slugging a double and Mueller scoring once and stealing two bases. Lisa Houser chipped in as well with a 2-for-4 performance at the plate and a run scored.
In the circle, Mandy DeMeulenaere picked up another win for Pella, allowing six hits, while striking out five Tiger batters. With the win, the Pella softball team is now 9-4 overall and 6-1 in the Little Hawkeye Conference entering tonight’s match-up at home with Norwalk.
