Summer Most Harmful On Math, Science Skills

Summer vacation offers a welcome break from school for students, but it shouldn’t mean a break from learning. Pella Schools Director of Curriculum Lowell Ernst says there are lots of fun, engaging ways to keep kids sharp over the summer including lots of software options to keep kids learning while having some fun. Ernst says students typically have the most lag in the areas of science and mathematics, and encourages a focus on refining those skills over the summer months.
