Wet June Delays Some Garden Planting

Recent heavy rains have had an affect on local gardens. Nancy Terpstra of New Sharon, who has a stand at the Pella Farmer’s Market, says her crops haven’t sustained any damage, but the wet fields have made her push back the planting of some later season crops like tomatoes and sweet corn. She says the weather has put her back about two weeks.
