The windmill at Brinkhoff Park will be getting a facelift this fall. The Pella Community Services Board along with the Pella Garden Club are working to restore the miniature mill that welcomes visitors to Pella on Washington Street.
Chad Vandelune is helping with the project. He says the windmill was originally built in the 1930’s and simply needs restored. Volunteers will work to put the wooden upper portion of the windmill together over the winter.
A new limestone base will be installed next spring and the finished product should be up for next year’s Tulip Time.
