The careers of Pella Schools Superintendent Mark Wittmer and Business Manager Jon Miller were celebrated this week as the two near retirement.
Following Monday’s school board meeting, a reception was held in their honor to thank them for their years of service to the district.
Wittmer says he’s proud to have served in what he believes is Iowa’s finest school district, adding one of the best moves he made was hiring Miller as the district’s Business Manager.
Miller thanked his boss and the board of education for the opportunity to serve in Pella the past ten years, adding the district is left in good hands with their replacements, new Superintendent Greg Ebeling and Business Manager Roger DeWaard.
