KHC Receives New Cross Trainer

Knoxville Hospital & Clinics has a new cross trainer for its Cardio Pulmonary Department. It was purchased in part with a $2100 donation from the Knoxville Hospital & Clinics Foundation. The cross trainer, called the NuStep T4, allows patients to improve their cardio vascular endurance in a safe and monitored environment. Connie Pace, director of the Cardio Pulmonary Department, says that the T4 is especially great for the cardiac rehab patients, and will help them excel while recovering from heart disease.

Santorum Talks About Record

Republican Presidential candidate Rick Santorum spoke to a crowd of more than 100 people in Pleasantville Thursday evening at the home of Marion County Attorney Ed Bull, including many Marion County Republican leaders. Santorum stressed that if people look at the Republican field closely, voters will see that he is the only candidate that has a proven track record of accomplishments on both domestic and foreign issues. Santorum encourages Marion County residents to join him at the Ames straw poll, saying his campaign will provide tickets and transportation.
