The Pella City Council this week approved an engineering agreement for work on storm sewer improvements along East 3rd Street. Pella City Administrator Mike Nardini says this project will both satisfy some mandates as set by the Department of Natural Resources and also alleviate some back flows that have been known to occur following heavy rains. Total cost for the project is expected to be just under $200,000 and should be completed in September of next year.
