The Pella City Council met in regular session last night. At the meeting, the Council set public hearing dates for bids for construction of the southeast switching station and the adjacent control building of August 16th.

The Council also passed an ordinance setting the parameters for installation of solar energy systems on both commercial and residential properties.

The city was also granted formal membership into Missouri River Energy Systems, the coop that will be supplying power in Pella in the coming decades.

Finally, the Council approved two appointees to the Library Board of Trustees, Rebecca Manifold and Mary Barns.
