The Marion County Attorney’s Office just successfully prosecuted an interesting and difficult assault case. The case against Joshua Kamerick was different from most others in that the victim of the assault didn’t cooperate with the prosecution, testifying the alleged assault didn’t happen. Attorney Tiffany Kragnes was in charge of the case for the County. She says the challenge was building a case using an independent witness rather than the victim. She says the turning point in the case was when that witness testified, giving the jury cause to find Kamerick guilty.
