Final preparations for the Marion County Fair are being made before events get started this weekend. Rhianna Wallace and Tassi Cook, Interns with Marion County Extension, have been at work behind the scenes since May getting things organized.

Rhianna took charge of the 4-H displays and says as the Fair draws near, she’s busy setting up exhibit space for the various livestock competitions and other shows.

Tassi has focused her energies on the promotion side of things. She says she’s been busy hanging posters and making final plans for the various events, like the wine tasting, which is new to the Fair this year.
