A Marion County woman has received a grant to have a sculpture she’s made cast in bronze. Cheryl Hayman, from near Swan, says that Iowa Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts provided funding to have a portrait of a multi-ethnic woman cast in bronze. The piece is currently on display at Art 101 Gallery in Knoxville. Hayman thanks the NEA and Iowa Arts Council for their support, and Frank and Felix Mathias, owners of Art 101, for allowing her to work there.
