410 Twin Features Night almost became Father’s Night at the Knoxville Raceway last night. Terry McCarl passed his son Austin with two laps to go in the first A-Main, and held on to win for the 51st time at the Knoxville Raceway. The younger McCarl had the field covered but a late restart afforded Dad to get one final chance a lap and a half from the finish. While the McCarls were celebrating a one/two finish in the first A-Main, Kevin Swindell did just what father Sammy did a couple of weeks ago when the World of Outlaw were in town, and that is win. Swindell seemed to have the field covered with Danny Lasoski nearly a full straight-away lead. But lapped traffic and Swindell nearly spinning the car out in turn four gave the lead to Lasoski with five laps to only to see a yellow and bunch the field. Swindell passed Lasoski again and held on this time. Randy Martin made it two-for-two this weekend in Iowa after winning the Sprint Invaders Race in Donnellson on Friday, he brought his 360 to Knoxville and collected the win. Martin had to fight Larry Ball Jr. for the win as both were neck and neck the whole race.
