Senior Night at Pella Christian High School was a night to remember for Zach Zylstra, as his performance on the mound and at the plate propelled the Eagles to an 8-0 triumph over Des Moines Christian Wednesday night.

The senior pitcher gave up just four hits and two walks, along with four strike-outs in the complete-game win for Pella Christian. At the dish, Zylstra was a perfect 3-for-3 with a triple, two runs scored, and an RBI.

Fellow senior Tom Bouwkamp was also solid for the Eagles, providing reliable defense at shortstop and finishing the night with a very efficient 1-for-2 performance at the plate, which included two walks and a run scored.

Jordan Rossler also turned in a notable performance on offense, going 1-for-2 with an RBI, a run scored, and a walk. In all, Pella Christian tallied seven hits on offense, while the defense played error-free baseball.

The Eagles are back in action for the third consecutive night on Thursday; traveling to Oskaloosa to face the Indians in a make-up game that was rained-out earlier in the season.

Pella Christian is 22-12 overall and 14-6 in the Little Hawkeye Conference.
