Youth golfers from around the area that are looking to advance their golf game are invited to register and take part in a first-ever skills camp that will be held over four days next week in Pella. The Youth Advanced Skills Golf Camp will be held Monday through Thursday at the Bos Landen Golf Club in Pella, and is for golfers in junior high or high school that are looking to move their game to a more advanced level.

Pella High golf coach Bob Fessler – one of the organizers and instructors of the camp – says the program is something he has wanted to do for a while and hopes will grow into a regional event.

“This is something that’s been on my mind for the last several years, and it just hasn’t had the right opportunity to come up,” says Fessler. “The master plan here, though, is to not just make this a local high school camp, but to really create an advanced skills camp for kids throughout Central Iowa.”

The Youth Advanced Skills Golf Camp will begin at 8:00 a.m. on each of the four days it is held, and will include instruction on golfers’ swings, mental preparation, and actual game-play on the course – among other topics.

The cost to register for the Monday through Thursday camp is $120 and can be handled up until the first day of the camp. With questions, or to register, contact the Bos Landen Golf Club in Pella.
