Pella, Pella Christian, Knoxville Get Players On All-LHC Softball

Pella and Pella Christian dominated the first and second team all-Little Hawkeye Conference Softball selections this season. From Pella, Mackenzie Anthony, Rachel Greving, Whitney Williams, and Mandy DeMeulenare all made first team. Making first team from Pella Christian were…Paige Blom, Ashley Van Kooten, and Shelby Weaver. From Knoxville on first team was Katie Ayers. Three Marion County girls made the second team, from Pella it was Lisa Houser, from Pella Christian Morgan Blom, and from Knoxville Jessica Stickel. Each school was also able to place two girls on honorable mention from Pella it was Taylor Veenstra and Allie DeMeulenare, from Pella Christian Taylor Stursma and Tessa Howerzyl and from Knoxville it was Gretchen Hileman and Taylor Carter. Howerzyl and Carter were the only eighth grader that made first, second or honorable mention in 2011. Pella won the Little Hawkeye Conference with Pella Christian finishing in second place and Knoxville finished sixth.
