Shawn Robertson pled not guilty to five counts of neglect of a dependent and one count of operating without owner’s consent in Marion County District Court on Friday.

Police say that he had a blood alcohol content of .13 when he was pulled over last month. He had five passengers from the Christian Opportunity Center of Pella with him at the time.

The Christian Opportunity Center offers employment, residential, and learning services to people with special needs and disabilities.

Robertson waived his right to a speedy trial. His next appearance in court will be for a pre-trial conference on August 26.
