Art 101 has a few activities planned for this weekend. They will be hosting a CD release party for Jeff Young from 6-10 this Saturday. Young a Knoxville native, is releasing his third CD. Frank Mathias, co-owner of Art 101, says he plays mainly bass instrumental music. He invites everyone to come support a local musician and have a good time. Mathias’s brother Felix, also a co-owner of Art 101, says that the work of Heather Whittlesey is still on display until early September as well. Whittlesey is an Iowa State Masters’ student from Newton that specializes in acrylic painting, pottery, and glass blowing.
