The schedule has changed related to the demolition of the old Knoxville Junior High and High School that was scheduled to start today. Dan Cretors, with DeCarlo Demolition Company, the crew in charge of demolition of the building, says major demolition of the building will probably not begin until after Labor Day. Cretors says that they will begin mobilizing equipment to the demolition site today, and set up a perimeter fence and barriers before removing the cornerstone and the Knoxville High School sign. He says after that, they must separate the building from the administration offices. KNIA/KRLS will provide more details about the schedule as they become official.
