The Marion County Clerk’s Office is reducing the hours that it’s opento the public. Effective immediately, the Clerk’s Office will be closed to the public from 12-4:30 every Tuesday and Thursday. According to an Administrative Order, the Clerk’s Office is understaffed, and has seen an increase in their workload year-to-year. In order to keep up with the necessary paperwork, the Clerk’s Office needs more uninterrupted work time. Carol Sage, the County Clerk of Court, says that these hours will remain until the State Court Administration allows them to replace a recent vacancy.
