The Department of Natural Resources has begun its annual upland game survey. Marion County Conservation Officer Ken Kenyon says the survey is important for understanding how habitats and populations are changing for species like pheasant, quail, rabbit and other small game. With the information they get from the survey, the DNR can develop plans to ensure wildlife continue to thrive in the area.
