Pella Christian opens the 2011 cross country season a bit short on experience, but aim to compensate with plenty of enthusiasm and athletic ability. Eagles’ head coach Jocelyn Meinders says she’s been pleased with the amount of work the team put in during the offseason, adding that the amount of potential her athletes show has her excited about where the team will go this season.

“We’ll just kinda see how it all plays out once they get started. It’s a really good group of kids; I know they’re all really hard workers, so I think they will be dedicated,” says Meinders.

“They’ll definitely be able to see a lot of major improvements throughout the season, because they’re going to start with very little experience – if any – and just to see how much they progress and how much better they get as the season goes on is going to be really exciting for them.”

Pella Christian will put their runners on the course for the first time this season on September 3rd, when they take part in the Pella High Invitational.
