The Knoxville Baseball Squad held is awards night at the Red Rock Cultural Center in Knoxville on Sunday. Five Panthers received Gold Gloves as Gerritt Davis, Eric Jones, Ross Shelford, Adam Thiel, and Steven Watson all received the award for being the top fielders this season. Shelford was also named team Rookie of the Year as the freshman started and played well nearly the entire season. Kellen Glover was named Mr. Clutch for his timely hitting during the season. Other awards handed out were the Coaches Inspirational Award given to Gerritt Davis and Kevin Woodhouse, and the team Most Valuable Player was Eric Jones. Knoxville finished with a 14-18 record in 2011.
