The Central College volleyball team has added a new assistant coach for the upcoming season.  Tara Kohlhaas, former coach at Marion High School, will work with the varsity squad at Central and also serve as head junior varsity coach.

In college, Kohlhaas had been a co-captain at Kirkwood Community College, leading the Eagles to a pair of fifth-place finishes in the National Junior College Athletic Association championships, before graduating from the University of South Carolina Upstate with a degree in physical education.  She has also made coaching stops at Belle Plaine High School and Mount Mercy University.

The Dutch posted their 20th consecutive winning season in 2010, going 20-13 overall and 5-3 in the Iowa Conference.  The Central College volleyball team opens the 2011 season on September 2nd at the Augustana Invitational in Rock Island, Illinois.
