Old Pioneer Days In Monroe

Monroe’s annual Pioneer Days celebration continues today. Events start early with the Methodist Church pancake breakfast at 6:30. Registration for the Monroe Micro Marathon is at 7.

Games for kids and adults alike will be going on throughout the morning. A watermelon feed will start at noon on the south side of the square.

At 1 pm, it’s time for the kids water fight followed by the flag ceremony at 1:30. The evening parade begins at 7 pm followed by the Kiwanis awards at 8.

Rachel Farley will provide musical entertainment at 8:30 and the teen dance begins at 9.
