Pella Christian cross country coach Jocelyn Meinders is working with a crop of inexperienced runners this fall, but says it doesn’t necessarily imply that her squad is young.  Meinders says among the fresh faces on the Eagles’ girls and boys squads are a handful of upperclassmen – something she says is exciting to see.

Juniors and seniors are more physically mature, says Meinders, adding that they often possess more emotional maturity as well – often assuming leadership roles within the team, even in their first season out.

The Pella Christian girls and boys cross country squads will take to the course for the first time this season on Saturday, September 3rd, when they compete in the Pella High Invitational.
