With the opening week of the High School football season just around the corner, there is a great deal of buzz surrounding the Pella Christian Eagles.  While those close to the program are expecting some athletic underclassmen to make some noise on the field, many fans are simply curious how the team will move forward after graduating such a talented class.

Offensively, graduation claimed three of the team’s four leading rushers from last season, an All-State quarterback, and three of the top four receivers.  Defense and special teams also took a heavy hit, as the Eagles’ twelve seniors made their presence known all over the field.

Though it sounds like a lot will need to be replaced, Pella Christian also returns experience at a number of the skill positions, as well as both sides of the line.

The Eagles are gunning for another District title as well, after finishing last season 9-2 and reaching the 3rd Round of the Class 2A Playoffs.
