Pella Christian’s annual inter-squad football scrimmage gave fans their first look at the Eagles this season, and also gave the Pella Christian coaching staff a chance to evaluate the progress the team is making. Head Coach Rich Kacmarynski said with so many positions open for auditions, a number of athletes on the team have shown a lot of energy and work ethic so far this fall.

“I would say there’s a hunger on this team – guys that are excited about getting a chance to prove themselves, get some playing time, and be a part of something special,” said Kacmarynski. “There’s a lot of energy out there, and our work ethic has been very good – I’ve been really pleased with that.”

Pella Christian is coming off of their best season yet, after going 9-2, claiming a district title, and reaching the second round of the playoffs. The Eagles will open the 2011 football season on the road against Des Moines Christian.
