In addition to providing both emergency and routine medical care for residents in the area, Pella Regional Health Center is also responsible for contributing nearly $6 million in community benefits. According to a recently released assessment by the Iowa Hospital Association, Pella Regional provided a variety of services ranging from health screenings to community education programs and home health services totaling $5.7 million. More than $3.2 million of that went to uncompensated care which includes things like charity care and unpaid Medicare costs.
