Hosting three very skilled programs in the region, the Pella volleyball team found themselves not quite able to get over the hump in a number of games in Tuesday night’s quad. The Lady Dutch fell in two straight games to Gilbert, Bondurant-Farrar and Dallas Center-Grimes the the round-robin contest, which was held at Pella Christian High School.

Morgan Ernst performed well for Pella High, completing 19 of 20 of her serve attempts and leading the Lady Dutch in assists with 39. Elsewhere on the Pella offense, Kim Korver tallied 15 kills, while Shannon Ewing added 11. Korver also had 11 digs on defense, with teammate Taelor Rempe recording 15.

The Pella volleyball team is 0-4 on the season and will seek their first victory on Saturday when they play in a tournament at Iowa City High.
