The Knoxville FD, Knoxville Rural FD, Knoxville PD and the Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies reported to the scene of a fire at the Swamp Fox in Knoxville. At around 9am this morning, fire and rescue crews responded to reports of a large amount of smoke coming out of a meeting room to the side of the dining area in the Swamp Fox Pub and Grille. Knoxville Fire Chief Mike Roberts says that when crews arrived, everyone was out of the building safely. Roberts says they discovered the cause of the fire coming from a storage closet in a room to the side of the dining area. Roberts says they were able to put out the fire very quickly, and damage was minimal. He says that the kitchen and dining area were unaffected other than some smoke reaching the areas. The owners of the The Swamp Fox say they’ll be opened back up on Tuesday.

Roberts says the cause of the fire is under investigation by Dep. Justin Kingery, the fire investigator for the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
