A representative from Senator Tom Harkin’s office will be in Knoxville for the monthly meeting of the Commission of Veterans’ Affairs. The meeting will take place at the Marion County Courthouse at 9am on September 1. Veterans who wish to request assistance need to stop by the office of Veterans’ Affairs before September 1 to update their applications. Senator Harkin’s representative will meet with veterans at 10am to answer questions regarding compensation, pension, and other issues.
