Instead of ambulances and fire trucks, the parking lot at the Pella Public Safety Complex was filled with tailgating games and inflatables last night for the Pella Community Ambulance Service’s annual summer barbeque. Director Doug Polking says they put on the event each year to show appreciation and say thank you to not only the volunteer team of EMTs, but also the families that support them.
