Tips to Starting a Fitness Program

Governor Terry Branstad recently launched a campaign in effort to make Iowa the healthiest state in the nation by 2016. He says healthier living could save the state $16 billion over the next five years. Trish Worrall, Wellness Supervisor at the Knoxville Recreation Center, has some tips for those starting a fitness program. She says to get a workout partner, so you have someone to motivate you and share your goals. She also says to eat healthy, and to be patient with your workouts. If you try to do too much too soon, you may end up injuring yourself.
