Central College brings a mix of new starters and veteran leadership to the field on Saturday’s football season opener, when they travel to the “Cheese State” to face Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Though the Dutch will feature a senior-dominated lineup that includes only four juniors and a sophomore out of the first 22 on the field, they are still putting eleven new starters into the mix.

On the other side of the field, the Titans bring back 15 starters – including 8 on defense – from a team that took Central to the wire in a 34-28 win for the Dutch last season in Pella.

The trip to Wisconsin-Oshkosh is the first of a pair of tough non-conference opponents for Central, as they’ll take on a talented Augustana squad the following week.

This Saturday’s season-opener for the Central College football team kicks off at 1:00 p.m. from J.J. Keller Field in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and will be broadcast live on 92.1 fm KRLS.
