Central College’s quest to return itself to the NCAA football playoffs begins today, as the Dutch open up the 2011 campaign at Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

The Dutch claimed the first-ever meeting between the two teams last fall in Pella with a narrow 34-28 victory, but the Titans return 15 starters, including 8 on the defensive side of the ball.

Central brings back its own share of experience – as 17 of the 22 starters are seniors – along with returning six all-conference honorees. The Dutch may also have a little history on their side: they have won their last six season-openers, and 11 of their last 13.

Today’s game can be heard live on 92.1 fm KRLS and streamed live at kniakrls.com, with Trevor Castle providing the play-by-play. Kickoff from J.J. Keller Field in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, is set for 1:00 p.m. this afternoon.
