A pair of 3-1 victories at the Augustana College Viking Classic Friday provided a promising start to the 2011 season for the Central College volleyball team. The Dutch defeated Aurora University and Greenville College in steady fashion behind an efficient offense.

Among the standouts for Central on the day was Pella High graduate Chelsea Grieger, who posted 19 digs as the team’s libero. Central will look to build upon their 2-0 record when they complete tournament play today; facing Lincoln Christian and host Augustana.
