Dennis Oliver, a social studies teacher at Pleasantville High School, brought together a group of students from Pleasantville High School for me to speak with. I asked him if it would be possible to speak with some of Pleasantville’s finest. All I can say is WOW! What a great bunch of students!
I asked them about where success came from. All felt that there is an internal drive in them that makes them want to do their very best–for themselves, their family, their school, and their community.
They said teachers, parents, and others in the community all play a role.
I asked them to provide some advice for teachers and parents, as well as some advice for incoming freshmen. To hear their thoughtful advice, listen to the interview below.
