The A-M-A Pro Flat Track Riders did not disappoint the fans last night at the Knoxville Raceway. Jared Mees won the Pro Expert class in which on the track scoring system was a dead-heat, but officials declared Mees the winner over Jake Johnson when officials went to another timing mechanism and found that Mees had indeed won by four ten-thousandths of a second. Mees and Johnson battled for the entire 25 lap race with Johnson taking the white flag. However Mees got Johnson at the line and was declared the winner. While Mees and Johnson were drag-racing for the checkered in the Expert class, Shayna Texter won her first career A-M-A event leading eight of the last nine laps. Texter was racing with one eye, literally, as she lost a contact lens about half-way through the main event.
