The Knoxville Cross Country Squads face their busiest week of the season as the Panthers are scheduled to run in two events. Tuesday Knoxville heads to the Newton Invitational while Monroe’s Gateway Golf Course is the site of Thursday’s P-C-M Invitational. Coach Mike Moats says the boys doing well with two fifth place finishes in their first two meets. Wick Cunningham was the overall champion at last Tuesday’s Oskaloosa Invitational and Moats says he is already showing signs that he will be one of the top runners in the state. Moats adds the other runners are improving however last week was tougher than normal because of few of the guys were under the weather. On the girls side, Moats says it is a work in progress, but likes the effort they have been giving and says it is only matter of time before they start posting results in the top half of their events.
