One week after making a furious comeback in a five set match, the Knoxville volleyball squad was forced to play another five set match last night against Oskaloosa, this time however the Panthers fell short to the Indians. Knoxville dropped the first set 25/13, but came back to take sets two and three by scores of 25/23 and 25/21, however Oskaloosa would respond by taking sets four and five by scores of 25/12 and 15/12. Jessica Jones led the Panthers with 19 kills on the night…that puts her over 100 for the season. Emily Lee had 23 digs and Meredith Cunningham had 36 assists. Coach Eric Fee said while the loss was disappointing, he added the girls did a lot of good things and are starting to show opposing teams that they can compete with the upper half of the Little Hawkeye Conference. Knoxville is now 7-10 on the season and 1-2 in the conference. The Panthers will travel to Newton for a tournament this Saturday.
