As the Central College football team prepares for its first Iowa Conference game of the season, it’s almost certain that the Dutch are looking at ways to neutralize a pair of the league’s top players.

Luther College went 5-5 last season, but boasts All-American linebacker Kyle McGivney on defense, and second-team all-conference quarterback Chris Reynolds on offense. The Dutch are looking for ways to tighten up a defense that bent plenty, but did not break in a win over Augustana last Saturday.

Central is 1-1 overall entering Saturday’s match-up with Luther; who is 0-2. Kickoff from Ron and Joyce Schipper Stadium in Pella is set for 1:00 p.m. Saturday and will be broadcast live on 92.1 fm KRLS.
