The Pella volleyball team is off to an uncharacteristically slow start to the season, but the Lady Dutch coaching staff isn’t about to hit the “panic” button just yet. Head coach Bob Fessler says he’s already pinpointed some of the areas that if the team can improve upon, will drastically improve their chances for success.

“We need to do some things defensively. We need to have more of a middle presence – both offensively and defensively. So we need to work really hard on our transition defense; our block defense,” says Fessler. “We’ll need to change a few things around in our backcourt defense too, changing where we play on the court to being able to adjust.”

The Pella volleyball team is 0-4 entering a tournament this weekend at Iowa City High.
