A nearly two-hour trip back to Grand Junction in Greene County was not what Twin Cedars was planning on for a Saturday, nor was the outcome in the Sabers plans as East Greene came from behind to nip Twin Cedars 36-34 in the resumption of a game that was delayed Friday night due to lighting. The game resumed with around four minutes remaining in the third quarter with Twin Cedars leading 28-26. Jared Stevens scored on a 25 yard run to make it 34-26 Sabers. However, East Greene would control the rest of the game scoring a safety and intercepting a Twin Cedars pass that led to the winning score with 40 seconds remaining. Coach Aaron Allspach said the guys played well for the second straight week, but once again just ran out of gas. Twin Cedars is 0-2 on the season and will host Tri-County to start district play this Friday.
