Sarah Paulson, a three-time Iowa Conference women’s golf tournament medalist from Central College, has been named the league’s female athlete of the week. Meanwhile, Central kicker Kevin Sheldon is the conference’s football special teams player of the week.

Paulson captured her third league tournament title on Saturday – winning by 12 strokes. She was named the league MVP – also for a third time – and gives herself a good shot at being selected to play in the NCAA Division III championships.

Sheldon delivered the game-winning 19-yard field goal in a 33-30 comeback victory over Buena Vista last Saturday. Prior to that he kicked a career-long 40-yarder, and on the season is a perfect 25-for-25 in PAT attempts – leading the league.
