Another solid display of “pack running” helped the Pella Christian cross country teams to finish the regular season in fine fashion at yesterday’s Chariton Invitational.

Ryen Van Vark had the highest individual finish, claiming 11th place in the boys race to lead the Eagles to a third place finish in the team standings. Teammates Jake Lensing, Matt Spoelstra, and Craig Wilson also finished in the top 20.

In the girls’ race, Pella Christian performed well – despite the absence of Sarah Brandsen – as Marina Shannon’s 12th-place finish led a pack of five Lady Eagle runners that finished in 25th place or better.

Up next for the Pella Christian cross country teams is the District/Regional Meet in Ames next Thursday.
