Knoxville mayor Don Zoutte is making efforts to get Christmas lights strung up on the Marion County Courthouse. Zoutte discussed his idea with the Marion County Board of Supervisors Monday at their regular meeting. The supervisors told Zoutte that before they can approve any plan, it must be approved by their insurance agency. A meeting will take place between City and County officials Thursday to work out the logistics. Zoutte told the board that the lights would be purchased through fund raising, and that the City would take care of installation.
