Door-to-door appraisals of all commercial and industrial properties in Marion County will begin on November 7. Marion County Assessor Drew Sanders says that the Vanguard Appraisal, Inc. of Cedar Rapids has been selected to do the inspections. He says that the purpose of the reappraisal program is to equalize property assessments so each taxpayer is responsible for paying only his/her fair share of the property tax burden.
