The Pella Police Department has received word of an Internet scam targeting young girls. Officer Matthew Huston says they’ve had reports of a man contacting girls on Facebook offering a possible internship with a movie production company. Those targeted are then directed to contact the man, going by the name of Dan Worthington, via Skype. Huston says this is a scam, and if you are contacted, you should notify Police immediately. He says they’re directing reports to the State Attorney General’s Office, which is investigating.
